Our goal is to fill 200 bags. The youth will be packing 100 bags for the first delivery, and everyone is invited to help on 10/02 at 4pm with the second 100 . We will meet in the big kitchen.
Sign up for specific food items, due by Thursday 09/22. If you would prefer to make a financial donation (to “Backpacks”), we will be happy to do the shopping.
THE CLOSET NEEDS YOU TO VOLUNTEER –

POPSICLES IN THE PARKING CIRCLE! Thursday, 9/22, We are back in the parking circle near the playground at Herndon UMC. Enjoy some popsicles and playtime from 5:00-6:30pm! Beat the summer heat with a frozen treat and good company.. All ages welcome!
If you sing in your school choir, acapella group, or just love singing in the shower, you’re invited to be a part of a small youth vocal ensemble that will share a song in worship at the 10am service on 10/16. This will be a low-key, low-time commitment pop-up group with only a few 30 minute rehearsals happening right after youth group on 10/2 and 10/9 from 12:30 – 1pm. This year, KIDS Age 3 – Grade 6 will follow the life and teachings of Jesus, and support their Bible learning with hands-on favorites like games, object lessons, experiments, crafts, and more! KIDS will be invited up in worship for a Children’s Message, and afterward, transition to Room 103-104 with their adult leaders until the end of 10am Worship.
Thanks to all who took the plunge and signed up for a life group (or two) following Sunday’s worship, potluck and brown bag Zoom. You should hear from your group leaders this week about the first meeting. This will be an ongoing effort, so it is not too late to sign up.
